Preparation: the trial questionnaire

You invest 15 minutes now, or you lose them several times over in the first days. Bullet points are enough: with your answers, the kickoff is about your real processes from the first minute, not about examples.

Block 1 · Your focus: one use case, not three

• Which process or machine first? For example machine operation, set-up or maintenance.
• Why this one? Is a colleague retiring? Is it a frequent source of errors? Do colleagues with other native languages work there?
• How is it documented today? PDF, paper or only in the expert’s head.
• How long is it, and roughly how many steps does it have?
• Who is the key knowledge holder?

Block 2 · Success: what you measure at the end

• What must have happened for you to say: “This works for us”?
• Your most important metric? Shorter onboarding, fewer errors, less time per instruction or acceptance.
• Today’s baseline? For example: “Onboarding currently takes about X days.”
• How many instructions do you want to create yourself?

Block 3 · Team

• Who is your internal project owner?
• Who creates the instructions? These people need an account with the edit right, for example as Creator (Roles and permissions).
• Which 1–3 employees test at the machine? They do not need an account: published instructions open via link or QR code without signing in.
• Does the works council need to be involved, and has that started? Better now than in week 3. What GIRI records is described in Information for the works council.
• Who makes the final decision?

Block 4 · Technology

• Which devices? Company phones, tablets, PCs. GIRI runs in the browser (Which devices and browsers do I need?).
• What does your IT require? For example on data location or certification. You find answers in Where is my data? and ISO 27001: which packages are certified.
• Which languages? GIRI shows instructions in 13 languages (Instructions in other languages).
• Are there PDFs for the AI import? From a PDF or photos, GIRI suggests the steps and you check them (Create from PDF or photos).
• Who is your IT contact, and which documents do they need? The overview for IT is in For IT: browsers, domains, camera and screen sharing.
