Guide

Choose your language

Read the instruction in your own language: tap the globe and pick one of 13 languages. GIRI translates automatically.

For: WorkersUpdated · GIRI 12.80.1

What for?

Not everyone reads the original language well. In your own language you understand every step clearly. Pictures and videos stay the same, only the texts change.

Before you start

  • Internet the first time you choose a language.

Step by step

  1. Tap the globe at the top. You also find the globe on the start card of a checklist and in the chapter overview.

  2. Choose your language. Original is the language the instruction was written in.

  3. GIRI translates. For a moment you see Translating …. Then texts and buttons are in your language. The globe now shows a flag instead.

  4. Your phone remembers the language. The next instruction opens in it straight away.

These languages are available: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Portuguese, Romanian, Hungarian, Chinese and German.

Tips

  • A machine (DeepL) does the translation. If something is unclear, ask or tap Question or suggestion.
  • Some words stay in the original on purpose, for example the names of parts.
  • Back to the original: tap the globe and choose Original.
  • Do you share a phone? Then switch the language back when needed.

Common problems

  • The language does not load. Check your connection. Without one, GIRI cannot load a new language. The instruction then stays in the original.
  • A new language does not load even with a connection. Someone may be updating the instruction right now. Then only languages that were translated before work. Tell the person who made the instruction.
  • A word is translated wrongly. Report it with Question or suggestion. See Send a question or suggestion.
